Noël Greig was an avid traveller whose adventures took him to many parts of the globe. His journeys enabled him to connect with a diverse range of people; many became long-standing friends. Every journey whether down the road or across the world was, for Noël, full of possibility and learning that impacted on his own playwriting – through new characters, new stories, new ideas. This in turn influenced how he taught and nurtured others. The young writers travel bursary was created by donations to honour his talent and encourage young new writers to build on his legacy following his death in 2009.

Up to £750 for young writers under 30 towards travel costs (as eco-friendly as possible) for exploring a new idea.
